In response, fans took to social media to express their support, with one user on X commenting, “Oohh, that’s not a good moment. Hope she’s okay.” Another added, “Omg. Glad she’s okay and was able to walk out.”

A third user remarked, “I’m surprised this doesn’t happen more often; even at their level, some were skimming platforms on the way down. So dangerous.”

Since the incident, Alison has reflected on the experience, emphasizing that it won’t deter her from pursuing her passion.

“I hit my heels and feet on the board. I have cuts along the sides and bruised my right heel pretty badly, but I was determined to keep going,” she shared with Reuters.

“I definitely was in pain,” Alison continued. “But I hope anyone watching can see what it means to get up and keep going, even when things don’t go as planned. It’s about the fight.”

The Olympian added, “Obviously, today didn’t go the way I wanted it to. However, I believe you can learn and grow from every experience, and I truly hope the next generation of athletes recognizes that even in the toughest moments, you can keep fighting and move forward with courage.”
